The Palace Night Club in Bridgwater
The palace nightclub was opened in 1997 when it was converted from an abandoned movie theatre into one of the busiest nightclubs that the southwest has to offer. Architecturally unique its three bars are filled with an amazing £100,000 state of the art lighting setup and 25K Thunderidge sound system which contributes to creating an atmosphere every night that rivals any club that your likely to visit.
Over the past 10 years the 850 capacity nightclub has paid witness to so many unforgettable nights not only on the nightclub scene but has hosted some amazing live acts such as the Scissor Sisters, Madness, KT Tunstall and Badly drawn boy with undoubtedly many more to follow in the future.
The palace offers a wide range of promotions from Wednesday 99p night which is undoubtedly the best midweek party that the area has to offer, Funky Fridays with all drinks £1.50 to Saturday mayhem.
The venue without a doubt holds the best dance event in the southwest 6 times a year with firewall. DJs like Darren styles, Hixxy, mark EG, M zone, Frantic are regulars along with some of the best MCs in the country. These events do hit capacity so get in early.
The Palace is also proud to hold some of the best kick boxing/Martial art shows in the country with Arthur Meeks and his local fighters. Several British title fights have now taken place here at the Palace. Private tables are available on request.
Once a month we hold an Extreme teen night for under 18s which are a great success Fridays 6.30pm to 9.30pm entry is £4. The club is also the official venue for the Bridgwater student party's and the famous rag day extravaganza.
The new half a million pound refit will have a £100,000 state of the art lighting and visual system with 34 new moving lights. The DJ box will be moved in a more central position on the dance floor so that people can interact more with the resident DJs. The new box will be fitted with the top Allen and Heath mixer, a set of the best Technics decks and a pair of the new pioneer CDJs 1000s.Resident DJs will be playing a range of the best dance, R&B and chart music. The new back bars Turkish theme will give customers a chance to chill out with the soft furnishings and fantastic draped ceilings. The music style will be classic cheese and party from the 60s 70s and 80s. Two new dance podiums up stairs and down with funky new seating and a fantastic paint themes by local graffiti artists.
